This chapter is pure gold. An absolute must read and understand if you want to transform your life and go from where you are to where you want to be. This chapter lays the foundation for how to begin identifying and changing your mental game to get the outcomes you desire.

Thanks Brad, it really is so crazy how much our thoughts predict our future and how much control we can have over that process

Loving what I am reading so far, how do I access chapter 3. The “read more” link does not work for me. 🌹

I'm thinking about all the things I've labelled myself with. When did these thoughts start? Where did they come from? They've definitely prevented me from pushing forward with my goals.

It’s such a heavy realization at first, but remember to give yourself total grace for that because you didn’t know then what you know now. ❤️

It's interesting how we have these beliefs that were created in childhood and unknowingly followed us into adulthood. Realizing those beliefs, acknowledging them, thanking them for thier purpose at the time and saying goodbye to them since they no longer serve us is so liberating! Feel the power of choice.

This chapter challenges me to dig deep. I now recognize how my subconscious beliefs have been limiting my efforts.

While reading, I reflected on all the things I once wanted to do but never followed through on. As I examined why I failed to complete them, I realized it was my own inner thoughts that shut those actions down.

For example, I have always wanted to write a children’s book. In 2003, I began researching how to become a published author. I read Barbara Seuling’s How to Write a Children’s Book and Get It Published and completed every activity in it. I even started my manuscript. But somewhere along the way, my dream ended up on a shelf, collecting dust.

Over the years, I revisited the idea multiple times, only to place it right back on that same dusty shelf. Looking back now, I see how my subconscious beliefs quietly guided me to put it away without me even realizing it. At the time, I didn’t have the awareness or tools that this chapter is now giving me to counteract those limiting beliefs.

Honestly, I never saw those thoughts as obstacles. I accepted them as reality. To challenge them felt like chasing an impossible dream, something out of reach. I feared failure and rejection. Who was I kidding? I’m not a writer. I don’t have the skills to publish a book, not even for kids.

Now, 22 years later, I finally see the real issue.

Game Changer!

Wow that’s such an awesome breakthrough! I love that. Because you’re right, most of us take those thoughts as reality and “the voice of reason” when they are only keeping us stuck in the same place. Love that you’re doing the work!

Chapter 2 offers a great perspective on how our thoughts are shaped by past beliefs. It made me reflect on how these beliefs can empower or limit us — so powerful.

This chapter helped to remind me that no matter how something is said the mind can turn it into something that can change how we view ourselves, especially at a young age. I remember growing up and hearing that I was the quiet one and even to this day without realizing it, until now (lol) I still see myself as that.

Oh, I love this chapter and can’t wait for more. I took inventory from past beliefs and wrote them down - changed to a positive statement and the beginning of a new shift has started. The power of our words impacts our mind.
